Carl Christianson, 85, died April 26, 1989, at his home in rural Sebeka.
Carl was born to Par Jonas and Karin Larson in rural Sebeka on November 3, 1903, and later was adopted by Nels and Petra Christianson. Carl was raised and attended school in Rockwood Township. In 1944 Carl was untied in marriage to Bertha Johnson in Sebeka. Carl, a lifelong farmer and resident of Sebeka, was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Blue Grass.
Carl is survived by two sons, Donald and his wife Hazel Christianson of Little Falls, Minnesota, and Dale Christianson of Fargo, North Dakota; six grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bertha, two sisters, Mattie and Selina, and one brother, John Larson.
Funeral services were held May 5 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Blue Grass with the Reverend Walt Beaman officiating. Belle Erickson was the organist and soloist Joyce Wierimaa sang "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Casketbearers included Bob Juntunen, Don Quale, Carl Quale, Art Linden, Burke Mersinger and Earl Edmundson.
Interment was at the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. All arrangements were handled by the Cardini-Behrens Funeral Home of Sebeka, Minnesota.
