He was born in Guilford County, North Carolina.
He was only 12 years old when his parents come to this country.
He was twice married, his first wife has been dead thirty one years; his second wife was Miss Mattie Hankley, of Marion.
To this union three children were born; one is dead, Mrs. Herley Pike and Mrs. Frank Smith, who is living here.
He was a Confederate soldier. H
e leaves one Brother, Robert Andrews.
Services were conducted by J. C. Flinchum. Burial was in the Andrews graveyard.
