BAKERSVILLE, N.C. -- Mack Arrowood, 80, 11365 Highway 226 (Buleadean Community), died Friday, October 20, 2000.
Mr. Arrowood was a son of the late Robert and Dovie Barnett Arrowood. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Melissa Carver, a brother, Tillman Arrowood, and a sister, Edna Julian.
Mr. Arrowood was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Odoms Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Olean Hughes Arrowood, of the home; three sons, Danny Wayne Arrowood, Unicoi, Tenn., Douglas Earl Arrowood, Bakersville, and Brian Lee Arrowood, Kingsport, Tenn.; three daughters, Ruth Carver, Elizabethton, Tenn., Carolyn Chandley, Johnson City, Tenn., and Amelia Dale Greene, Kingsport, Tenn.; and two sisters, Mary Parker and Margaret Greene, both of Johnson City, Tenn. Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

ARROWOOD -- Funeral services for Mack Arrowood, 80, 11365 Highway 226, Bakersville, N.C., (Buleadean Community), who died Friday, October 20, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Odoms Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. G.B. Garland, the Rev. Randy English, the Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Ricky Pate officiating. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, in the Arrowood Cemetery.
