Ray W. Bell, 86, of Salt Lick Community, Terra Alta, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1915, in Preston County, son of the late Oney C. and Nora Knotts Bell.
He was a machinist for the Eaton Company in Massillon, Ohio. He was Baptist.
He is survived by five daughters, Nancy Shaffer and Tracy Starcher, both of Terra Alta, Bonnie Bell and Marissa McCue, both of Spencer, and Elaine Beattie, of Akron, Ohio; a brother, Robert "Red" Bell, of Rowlesburg; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and his former wife, Deloris Bell Greathouse.
Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, Rowlesburg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, with the Rev. William Davis officiating. Burial will be in Knotts Cemetery near Rowlesburg.
