"Reds" Elliott was born about 1758 Ulster Scottish descent and died Between, 1810 - 1820 in Wolfsville, Frederick County, Maryland. He emigrated to America around the of Revolution, and who was nicknamed "Reds" because of he had flaming red hair.
Hannah Prior and "Reds" Elliott, together, settled first along the Conocoheague creek northwest of Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. Later, they tenanted what is known as the "Hen Russman place" along Catoctin creek on the mountain, near Wolfsville. Thence they moved to what is known as "the old Mel Wise place," now owned by Mark Lewis, near the old Forrest school, along the Stottlemyer road near its intersection with the Spruce Run Road, north of Wolfsville. Finally, Reds is said to have died while they were living on the "old Mel Wise place," and both he and
Hannah is thought to have been buried in unmarked graves in the Brandbenberg family burying ground, just north of Wolfsville. They had eleven children.

'Reds' Elliott will be of Ulster Scottish descent, not English. Not from a nobleman's family.

The Y DNA of the Pryor family is a match to the Elliott's of East County Donegal, Ireland.
Ulster Scots Presbyterians, many of whom emigrated to Pennsylvania, Maryland & Virginia in the mid to late 18th Century.

Inscription

some stones are more like field stones, others are tombstones but names are illegible or completely worn off. The graveyard cannot be seen from the road but is behind a stable/barn.
