Jimmy Halk was born March 29, 1939 in Butner, OK to George Audros ( G.A.) and Velma Orel (Abel) Halk . He passed away Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Phylis Sharon Yahola and a baby sister, Baby Girl Halk. Survivors include Aunt Helen Halk Combs of Norman; nieces Cynthia Sheryl Yahola of Edmond, Cherry Kim Bennett and husband Terry of Ada; and Debbie Charlene Yahola of Ada. Great nieces and nephews Joshua Wayne Bennett and wife Stephanie of Ada and Laurissa B. Bennett of Ada, special caring compassionate friends, Darleen and Mitch Potter, Raymond and Ann Cain, Bryan and Rita Cain, and a host of other relatives and friends. Jimmy graduated from Butner High School and attended Oklahoma A & M College. He was a faithful longtime dedicated member of The Wewoka Church of Christ and loved spending time with children. He was employed as Retail Clerk for P. Magnum. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 1:00 p.m. at Wewoka Church of Christ with Aaron Alsbrook officiating and a private interment at Butner Cemetery north of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Pall Bearers are Dewayne Holland, Bryan Cain, Raymond Cain, Yogi Mackay, Mitch Potter, David O'Donnell. Honorary Pall Bearers are Josh Bennett, Mark Holly, Ann Cain, Rita Cain, Darleen Potter, Cato Jones, Kerry Kincade and Bill Atwell. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Wewoka, Oklahoma
