Annie Mildred Threatt (called Mildred by some of the family, but called Annie by others) was the first daughter, and third of eight children born to Clarence A. Threatt (1891-1969) and his wife Ezzie F. King (1891-1951) of Lancaster, South Carolina. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Alexander Threatt (1865-1945) and his wife Martha Jane Sullivan (1870-1947); and, her maternal grandparents were David Anderson King (1854-1925 and his wife Mary Matilda Dulin (1860-1948). She was a great granddaughter of Milton Dulin, a Confederate soldier killed in the War, and a great great granddaughter of Harmon Daniel King, Sr., a soldier of the Revolution.

Annie Mildred Threatt Bradburn, well known as "Miss Annie," 87, of the Haw Creek Community, Asheville, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007, at her residence.

Born on October 7, 1919 in Lancaster, SC, Mrs. Bradburn was a daughter of the late Clarence Alexander and Ezzie King Threatt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Leonard Bradburn, who died in 1982.

She was a member of Hope Well Methodist Church, of Lancaster.

Mrs. Bradburn is survived by three daughters, Brenda Patel and Grace Johnson, of Asheville, and Joann Brannon, of Lancaster; sons, Keith and Gilbert Bradburn, both of Leicester; sister Louise Wrape, of Lancaster; brothers, David Threatt, of Lancaster, and Chet Threatt, of Charlotte; also 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Revs. Ken Kelly and John Snell officiating. Interment will follow at Barnwell Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family gives special thanks to hospice.
