Mrs. Hardy Padgett died at her home last night suddenly from dropsy of the heart. In passing through the hall she fell and died almost instantly. She has many friends throught the State who will be pained to hear of her death. She was an excellent lady and a devoted Christian.

In the brief notice of Mrs. Hardy Padgett’s death yesterday, the word "surprise" should have been "regret." She has been sick with dropsy for three or more months and her demise was not unexpected.
