John J. "Jack" Angier 68, of Villas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 after battling a lengthy illness. Jack was a lifelong resident of the Cape May area and a graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School's Class of 1962 where he was a standout athlete, lettering in four separate sports. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. As a young man, Jack briefly worked as a police officer in Cape May, before enjoying a long career that lasted 32 years with the Bell Telephone Co. (now Verizon).

In his youth, Jack was a dedicated Boy Scout and achieved the "Order of the Arrow" and "Eagle Scout".

He was the current president of the Cape May County Shriners and a longtime member of the Cape Island Masonic Lodge #30 F&AM, Cape May where he held various positions over the years. He was a member of the Caper Ten Alumni and the N.R.A.

Jack thoroughly enjoyed, and was an avid softball player. He was on the Atkinson's Tavern roster this year.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Angier.

Jack will be dearly missed by his loving family which includes his wife of 34 years, Marlee (nee Coombs); his father, John T. "Jack" Angier; five sons, Jack Angier, Andrew (and Kevin) Angier, Matthew Angier, Bryan (and Trish) Lemmon and Allen (and Melisa) Lemmon; one brother, Vernon "Skip" (and Jean) Hoffman; one sister, Bonnie Angier; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Emma, Alyssa, Allen Jr, Devon, Tyler, and Mattison; also nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (June 19th) from 10AM 11AM at the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where a Masonic Service will begin at 11AM and his funeral service will immediately follow. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Cape May County Veterans Cem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital, 3551 North Broad St., Phila., PA 19140.
