(Notes from the book, The Law of Pine Mountain, by Phillip K. Epling page 129-132) The trial of Noah Reynolds(brother to John). Noah Reynolds was sentenced to to life imprisonment for the killing of W.S. Wright. On April 2, 1902 he was taken to the penitentiary where his brother John Reynolds was serving fifteen years for the death of William Wright. (John Reynolds was pardoned by then Governor of Ky. Beckham. John Reynolds returned to the state of Virginia to live, marrying Carrie Addington. He served as a policeman at Jenkins, Ky. , then he was appointed a prohibition officer. He lived at Pikeville, Ky. On a raid into Johnson County Kentucky he was killed on the 26th day of Aug. 1921. (Moonshiners were the McKinseys) (John H. Reynolds brother was Noah Reynolds and his sister was Martha Jane Wright, wife of Sam Wright, brother to "Devil John Wright"
