The remains were taken to White's undertakers, and lay in state, viewed by numbers of friends. They were removed Sunday afternoon and escorted by the relatives and friends to Beulah. There services were held, conducted by Rev. H. A. Todd and Rev. H. E. Waters, the latter from
Jackson.
Dixie Corum was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Corum. He was 31 years and ten months of age. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters, viz: Mrs. Herbert Naylor, Mrs. A. J. Stephens and Miss Louise Corum.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, a young man of fine personal character and esteemed , for the things that comprise the essentials of true worth and useful citizenship. He was a patriot, and when the call of his country came he lay down the cares and responsibilities of civil
life and accepted service in the defense of national liberty and Christian citizenship.
