Cpl. U.S. Marines, WW2-Cpl. Easton was killed in action on 7-2-1943 while serving on the New Georgia Island in the South Pacific.

He is the son Mrs. Ted Dehring of 1445 Starr Street in Peoria, Illinois, and has one sister, Mrs. Edith Smith of Carmi, Illinois. Cpl. Easton was a member of the famous "Marine Raiders", and he enlisted in the Marines on February 2, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana, and did his training at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Oceanside, Calif.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, Pacific Campaign Medal with 3 Battle Stars, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.

Footnote: Cpl. Easton's body was brought home for burial on June 27, 1948.
