Mary Catherine Blythe, 63, 1802 S. Liberty St., died Friday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Montpelier, she came to Muncie as a child and attended Muncie schools. Mrs. Blythe had worked for more than 12 years at Riverside Restaurant on Broadway and for several years at Mae's Restaurant (now the Big Apple).
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Blythe; three daughters, Joan (Mrs. Bob) Ipock, Muncie, Evelyn (Mrs. Jerry) Larsen, Eaton, and Barbara (Mrs. Gerald) Hargis, Albany; a brother, Junior Pace, Muncie; a sister, Margaret Bradwater, Texas; six grandchildren, Donald Ipock, Indianapolis, Chris Ipock, Muncie, Donald DeWitt III, Fort George, GA., Mark DeWitt, Muncie, Kimberly Ann Larsen, Eaton, and Mary Jane Hargis, Albany, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary - Adams Chapel, with Rev. Edison Pennycuff presiding. Burial will be at noon Tuesday in Casarea Cemetery, outside of Stamping Grounds KY. Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary
