Visitation will be held at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville on Thursday from 2 PM until 8 PM with the family present to receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM.
Johnny Arnold was born December 4, 1951 in Houston, Texas to John Wheeler Arnold, Sr. and his wife, Sophie Frances (Lacina) Arnold. He lived in Houston for most of his life and was Catholic. Johnny worked as a water service supervisor for Southern Pacific Railroad for many years. He and his wife, Tia, moved to Centerville about 10 years ago and for several years he worked for Nucor IMS as an environmental safety coordinator. Johnny loved to hunt and fish and also enjoyed growing vegetable gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, Johnny Arnold. He died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at his home near Centerville.
Surviving family includes his wife Saratha "Tia" Arnold; two daughters, Lisa and Angelica; a step-daughter, Mary Holley of Dallas; four sisters, LaNelle Murray, Evelyn Ringo, Sylvia Binford and Patty Arnett; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shirley and Gerald Pierce of Centerville; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Colleen and Joe Johnson of North Judson, Indiana; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
