RALPH ARCHER BUCKHOUT JR. 1915 - 2006 loving father to Ronald, Craig, Timothy, and Jon Buckhout passed on May 24, 2006 in Fremont, California. He had recently celebrated his 91st birthday with his family. Born in Susanville, California in 1915, Ralph was a WWII Army veteran who worked as an architectural draftsman in the Bay Area most of his life. A long time resident of Palo Alto, he and his family also lived in Fremont, California. With his love of family history, Ralph enjoyed many hours in the Graeagle and the Johnsville California area as well, which is the ancestral home of the family. In addition to his four sons, Ralph is survived by 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his loving wife and lifelong companion, Meredith ("Jerry") Buckhout. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at Alta Mesa Cemetery on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 O'clock. His frends and relatives in the Reno and Graeagle area are invited to graveside services, and internment at the Blackhawk Cemetery in Graeagle, California on June 10th. In keeping with his love of the Graeagle/ Johnsville area, memorial donations in our father's honor may be made to the Johnsville Historical Trust at 322 Johnsville Road, Blairsden, CA 96103. He will be missed. Roller Hapgood & Tinney Funeral Home, Palo Alto, CA.
