Harry 'Budgie' Barr

Harry "Budgie" Barr, 66, of Daybrook, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at home.

He was born April 12, 1936, at Fairview, son of the late John and Martha Carpenter Barr.

He was a retired construction worker and truck driver, and was an avid member of the Daybrook Saddle Club. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church at Wana.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Belcher Barr; and the following children and spouses, Bill and Suzanna Barr, Jason and June Barr, Johnnie Barr, Donnie Barr, Ronnie and Donise Barr, Lonnie and Frankie Barr, Steve and Edna Cody, and James and Renae Cody, Shelby and Randy McDonald, and Ellen and Harold Sickle,
five brothers, LeRoy Barr, Jake Barr, John Barr Jr., Billy Barr and Jimmy Barr, two sisters, Marie Tennant, and Jeannie Simpson, a sister-in-law, Ethel Rose, and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Cody,14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lena Johnson Barr; a son, Stuart Lynn Cody; and an infant daughter, Connie Jenette Barr.

Friends may call at Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and at the Grace Fellowship Church from 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, until the 11 a.m. service, with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in Daybrook Cemetery.
