Charles D. Stinnett, 57, of 502 Johnson St. Leitchfield died November 4, 1983 at his residence. / He was born March 25, 1926 in Grayson County, the son of Robert Luther Stinnett and Zonie Ree Kinneson. He was the husband of Nellie Cockerel Stinnett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and a member of the Millwood Baptist Church. / Survivors other than his wife include one son Charles Louis Stinnett of Leitchfield, one daughter Charlene Higdon of Leitchfield; one grandson Billly Joe Higdon of Leitchfield; one sister Panzy Stinnett of Millwood; two brothers Hershell Stinnett and Robert Junior Stinnett both of Leitchfield; several nieces and nephews also survive. / Funeral services were held Nobember 6, 1983 at the Ellis-Mayes Chapel by the Rev. Carlie Ward with interment in the Wells Cemetery, Millwood.
