Mrs. Eliza Oak, known to hundreds of Oregon pioneers, died at her home at Truman's ranch at the lower end of the trail to Bull Run Lake, Tuesday. Mrs. Oak was formerly Mrs. Eliza Truman.
Mrs. Oak was 63 years old. For many years she resided on the Truman ranch, and after the death of her first husband, conducted the place herself. Five years ago she was stricken with paralysis.
Shortly after she became an invalid she married Andrew Oak who owns the farm adjacent to the Truman place.
Funeral services were held at Cherryville Thursday. Interment was in the Cherryville cemetery. Music was furnished by Mesdames I. M. C. Miller, R. E. Esson, Messrs R. S. Smith and Percy T. Shelley.
