Obituary: New Milford Times dated May 14, 2004:
"Richard H. Bailey, 44, of Roxbury, died May 6 at his home. He was the husband of Patricia Stratton Bailey.
Mr.Bailey was born Aug. 31, 1959 in New Milford, son of Eula Bailey Hartnell of Ft. Pierce,FL, formerly of Washington and the late Richard W. Bailey.
He was employed by the Town of New Milford in the public works department.
In additon to his wife and mother, Mr.Bailey is survived by a daughter, Erin Cecelia Bailey of Roxbury; a brother, William M. Bailey of Middlebury; two sisters, Linea T. Bailey of Lancsater, PA and Britta Bailey Mercier of Washington; a grandfather, James Rosa of Roxbury; and several nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert B. Bailey.
Funeral services were held Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Washington.
Burial was in Underwood Meadows Cemetery, Washington.
The Lillis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Contributions in memory of Mr. Bailey may be made to the trust fund for Erin Cecelia Bailey c/o NewMil Bank, P.O. Box 145, Bridgewater, CT 06752"
