Anna Miketey, a resident of the Falls Good Samaritan Care Center died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at the Center.
She was born April 25, 1914 at Arbaka, Manitoba, Canada.
The former Anna Eluke married Pete Mietey on November 22, 1931. Following their marriage, the resided at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, then moved to Minnesota, living inthe communities of Caribou, Lancaster, Kennedy, Ranier, South International Falls and International Falls.
A homemaker, she loved to read and bake, was an excellent gardener, enjoyed walking, and loved being in the woods picking mushrroms and blueberries.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Pete Miketey on March 16, 1971; a son, Peter Alexander Miketey on January 1, 1941; father, George Eluke; mother, Wasylka Bozyk; brothers Bill Eluke and Vincent Eluke; and sisters, Wilma, Ruby, and Ollie Beeko.
Survivors include two sons; James W. (Phyllis) Miketey and Larry Lee (Bonnie) Miketey; two daughters, Mary Margaret (Art) Scheirer and Eilene Jeannette (James) Bishop; 10 grandchildren, Kathy, Brent, Renae, Mark, Kurtis, Chalres, Hanice, Jennifer, Bridgett, and Lance; nine great-grandchildren, Cody, Samantha, Karlie, Cole, Alia, Bethanie, Christopher, Daniel and Jessica; one brother, Melvin Eluke; three sisters, Marion, Agnes Windsor and Jean Juskon.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, April 8, at Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Larry Connors officiating.
Interment will be in the American Legion Cemetery in International Falls. Arrangements are with Green-Larsen Mortuary of International Falls.
