Candy Faye Tennison-Brewer was born on May 2nd, 1951 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Bill and Betty Jo (Clinton) Tennison. She graduated from high school in Tahlequah, OK. Candy was a Cherokee Artist and a member of the Cherokee Artists Association. She did intricate beadwork and made authenticated jewelry. What started out as a simple design in her mind, became a beautiful work of art and a tribute to the Cherokee tradition. She devoted hours to her craft and was always happy when others enjoyed her artistry as well. She loved her sons dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments. She was always happy to be out of doors, enjoying the beauty of nature and traveling. Candy was a Christian by faith. Candy left this life for her eternal home on March 19th, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 62 years old. Candy will be greatly missed by the many people who enjoy her love of Cherokee heritage and her artistic way of keeping it alive for generations to come. Candy is preceded in death by her mother and her father. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 at 2:30 PM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Carl Clark officiating. Interment will be held at Neugin Cemetery in Hulbert, OK.
