Richard J. Minium, 57, of Sunbury, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 1995 at Sunbury Community Hospital, where he was admitted ten days earlier. He had been in failing health for many years.
Born in Greenwood Township December 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles Henry Minium, Sr. and Emma E. (Spade) Minium.
He attended Crossroads Schoolhouse and was employed for 20 years for the former McKinley Lumber Yards, McAlisterville, retiring in 1983 due to ill health. He was a laborer for the company.
He was Protestant by faith. His memberships include Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 5640, Middleburg, and Reliance Hose Company, Middleburg.
urvivors include three sons, Robert E. Minium and Eugene Minium, both of Camp Hill, and Richard Junior Minium III, Richfield RR1; two daughters, Betty Ann Minium, Richfield RR1 and Betty Alice Minium, Dallas, PA; two brothers, Donald P. Minium, Harrisburg, and George R. Minium, Cocolamus; three sisters, Carolyn J. Dick, Harrisburg, Linda Lou Swartz, Richfield RR 1 and Lucy Ann Vawn, East Waterford and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Henry Minium Jr. in 1984.
The funeral service was conducted Saturday, August 19, graveside in Bethlehem Cemetery at Millerstown RR2, with Rev. James Strawser officiating.
Funeral arrangements were by George P. Garman Funeral Home, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Mills.
