Services for Joyce L. Beets of Wagoner will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wesley Graver officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmwood-Bennett Cemetery. Joyce was born in Cushing, OK on August 12, 1939 to David and Ruth Chastain. She married Jerry Lee Beets in Wagoner, Oklahoma on January 21, 1956, enjoying 57 years of marriage. She was a longtime member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church. She was an amazing Christian woman who doted on her husband, kids, and grandsons. Loving and tending to her family occupied every waking hour. She enjoyed substitute teaching at school and she had a soft heart for children. Joyce loved to watch her grandsons play football and did her best to make it to every game. Joyce was known for her sense of humor, her loving heart, her laughter, and her cheerleading abilities at football games. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Earl Chastain and one sister, Peggy Twoguns.
