Mr. Ball was a Washington County native and a son of the late John W. and Mattie Kaywood Ball.
He was a Methodist.
Mr. Ball was a carpenter and retired from Booth Construction co.
He was preceded in death by one son, Wallace Ball; four brothers, Andrew Ball, Fred Ball, John Ball Jr. and James Ball; and one sister, Stella Banks.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Rogers Ball; five sons, Richard Ball, Indialantic, Fla., Jerry Ball, Telford, Calvin Ball, Johnson City, Raymond Ball, Augusta, Ga., and Edward Ball; three daughters, Linda Peterson, Jacksonville, Fla., Nancy DePriest, Gray, and Joan Klinefelter, Ormond Beach, Fla.; one sister, Mary Ball; 19 grand-children; and 21 great-grandchildren.
