JOAN W. (WIKLACZ) AGNELLO
Joan W. Agnello, 84, formerly of Creek Road, died Monday (May 17, 1999) in Northgate Manor Health Care Facility, Wheatfield, after a long illness.
Born Joan Wiklacz in Auburn, she was raised in Newport.
She attended schools near Utica and moved to Niagara Falls in the 1930s. She moved to Youngstown in the mid-1940s and to Lewiston in the late 1950s.
Mrs. Agnello enjoyed playing golf and bridge at Niagara Frontier Country Club, Youngstown.
She worked as a clerk in Niagara Falls for the Niagara County Department of Motor Vehicles, and later for the Department of Social Services. She retired in 1992 after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Agnello was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and Niagara Frontier Country Club.
Her husband, Joseph A., died in 1977.
Survivors include a son, Joseph C. Agnello of Wrentham, Mass.; a daughter, Susan Eberwein of North Tonawanda; a sister, Jan Lewandrowski of Poland, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Episcopal Church, Main and Chestnut streets, Youngstown.
Interred 05/20/1999
Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
