YOUNGSTOWN - William H. Amsdill, 74, of 101 S. Lake Road, died in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston yesterday (Dec. 13, 1984)
Born in the Town of porter, he was a lifelong resident of the area and worked as a security guard for the former Hooker Chemical Co., now Occidental Chemical Corp., for 10 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown and the Youngstown Exempt Volunteer Firemen for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Maynard) Amsdill; a daughter, Mrs. Glenwood (Shirley) Zastrow of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs. William (Ivy) Baker of Niagara Falls; and three grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Henry and Annie (Cass) Amsdill.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
Friends are invited to a memorial service tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Youngstown with Dr. Charles Stratton officiating.
There will be no prior visitation.
