John E. Cox
John Ervin Cox, 86, died at a local hospital at 11:30 pm Tuesday after being in failing health for some time.
He lived with his niece, Mrs. Annie Broadwater, 310 Rhett St. and had been a resident of Greenville since 1927, coming here from Spartanburg.
Mr. Cox was a native of Oconee County and a son of the late William and Joanna Davis Cox.
His wife, Mrs. Ella Cape Cox, died in 1938.
Surviving are one brother, William Cox of Anderson; one niece Mrs. Annie Broadwater of Greenville, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral plans will be announced by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
