Of Taylor's Creek, Hanover. Daughter of William and Elizabeth Morris. Wife of William Fontaine, they moved to Beaver Dam from Rock Castle in 1790.

Anne Morris Fontaine, wife of William Fontaine, was born on 14 April 1766 in St. Martin's Parish in Hanover County. Her parents were William Morris, a planter, and his wife Elizabeth. She married in 1789 with William Fontaine, and lived the rest of her life on the Beaverdam plantation. She died there on 21 July 1852. She and William had nine children.
