Elzo Wayne Brockway, 87, of Modesto died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.

Mr. Brockway was a native of Shellrock, Iowa. He lived in Modesto 34 years. He was a county inspector for Stanislaus County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Modesto.

He is survived by his children, Diane Winning of Fresno, Sheila Ratliff of North Richland, Texas, and Kent Brockway of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Eileen Osterman of Oroville; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 PM Wednesday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday and from 9 AM to 2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Remembrances may be made to Memorial Medical Center, Intensive Care Unit,1700 Coffee Road, Modesto 95356.
