Charles Robert (Jim) Curfman, the only child of James and Anna Curfman was born in the St. Patrick community in Clark County, Missouri, and died in a fatal car accident near his home of rural Granger and Luray, Missouri, at the age of 57 years and 12 days.
His childhood was spent in the vicinity of St. Patrick, Missouri.
On February 7, 1926, he was married to Cleo Sweeney at Kahoka, Missouri. To this union were born two sons and one daughter. Nelson James of Granger, Floyd Edwin, Harrisburg, Illinois and Mrs. Lucille James of Galesburg, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, children, and three grandchildren, Gary and Karen Curfman of Harrisburg, Illinois and Charles James of Galesburg, Illinois, and an aunt, Mattie Curfman.
Mr. Curfman was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Curfman and an uncle, Newton Curfman.
Services were held at the Gutting Funeral Home at Kahoka, Missouri, at 2:00 p.m. February 2. Burial was at the Granger Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alva Hobb, Lewis Roberts, Clell Parrish, Nelson Glasgow, Bill Todd, and Bill Ray.
