She was born in Halifax County on March 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Moses B. Palmer and Nannie Ellen Palmer and was a member of Banister Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Agnes McNeill of Halifax; a niece, Sheraine Claughton, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Burton, Ethel Medley, Ruth Plenty, Andrew Palmer, Abraham Palmer, Charlie Palmer.
A funeral was held Wednesday, March 21 at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William F. Carr officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
