Frank Thomas Lovelace of Ballou Trail, Halifax died Aug. 17, 2010 at his home at the age of 70. Born in Campbell County on Dec. 22, 1939, he was the son of the late Tom Lovelace and Florence Sydnor Lovelace. He was formerly employed with Burlington Industries, Inc. and for many years served as church musician for several area churches.
Mr. Lovelace is survived by two sisters, Sarah Williams of Irvington, N.J. and Mary Clipper of Maryland, two aunts, Learlean Hemphill of Temple Hill, Md. and Hester Jones of Washington, DC, a sister-in-law, Sylvia S. Lovelace of Halifax, two brothers-in-law, Edward Venable and Prentiss Williams, three nieces, a nephew and a host of cousins including the devoted Emma Foster, Bertha Bailey and Wallace Stephens and many other relatives and friends. in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters;, Bettie Lovelace and Fannie Venable and two brothers, Horace Lovelace and James Lovelace.
A fuheral for Mr. Lovelace will be held Saturday, Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. at Banister Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William F. Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the home, 1022 Ballou Trail, Halifax and public viewing will be Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at The Crawford House chapel in Halifax.
