|Birth: ||May 15, 1857|
|Death: ||Sep. 15, 1903|
Julius Disney Willis, while yet in the prime of his life, died at his home, 1939 Milan street, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Death was not unexpected, as Mr. Willis has been precariously ill for some time. He was probably one of the
best known timber men in this section, a popular,enterprising and well known citizen, and one who had made and held many fast friends.
Mr. Willis, at his death, was the superintendent of the St. James Timber Company, and few timbermen were better known. His connection with the Lafourche Levee Road, since the creation of that body, has made him known to nearly all the levee men of this state....
Mr Willis was a native of East Pascagoula, Miss. He was born there forty-seven years ago, but for the past twenty years has been a resident of this city. Thirteen years ago, he married Miss Maude Lobenitz a Mexican girl. The union
was blessed with two children, both pretty girls, who with the mother, survive the deceased.
From his obituary published in The Times-Democrat and available from the Genealogy Files in the Pascagoula Public Library.
