JAMES AYERS, FARMER, DIES
Life-Long Resident of Waymansville Community Stricken Sunday.
James Ayers, 68, Waymansville farmer, died Sunday at the home of a nephew, Charles Woodley, near Cortland, after an illness of ten weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Healthy Methodist church, north of Waymansville. Burial will be made at Sutherland cemetery. The Rev. Melvin Rosier will be in charge of the rites.
Mr. Ayers was born May 13, 1883, at Waymansville to Daniel and Subanna Barker Ayers. He was a life-long resident of Bartholomew county. He was not married.
Surviving are three brothers, Ray Ayers of Lacrene, Ind., Carmel Ayers and Jessie Ayers, both of Cortland route 4; and two sisters, Miss Campsy Ayers and Mrs. Bertha Jacobs, both of Greensburg. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of Mt. Healthy church.
