OKOLONA - Virginia Betts Seals, 52, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born July 6, 1957, to Levirgie Betts and Christine Williams Betts. She was a 1975 graduate of Okolona High School and a former employee of Jefferson Wheeler Daycare and Reed Manufacturing. She was a member and a choir member of Center Hill M.B. Church. She worked with the Booster Club for the Okolona High School's basketball team.
Services will be at noon Saturday, December 19, at the Okolona High School gym. The Rev. Gregory Wright will officiate. Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery. Williams Memorial Chapel of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Seals of Okolona; two daughters, Lasha Betts of Okolona and Kimberly Nesby (Derrick) of Tupelo; seven sons, Fredrick (Samantha) Betts of Tupelo, Levon Betts of Iraq, Christopher Seals (Kesha) of Ridgeland, Corey Seals of Okolona, Dearris Seals of Okolona and Demario Seals and Thaddius Seals, all of California; one sister, Ethel (Willie) Moore of Houlka; two brothers, Eddie Betts and Henry Betts (Gloria) of Okolona; 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home and will continue Saturday at the Okolona High School gym. A wake will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
