MATHENY - Penny Jean Flaugher Mullins, 37, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, following a short illness.

Born Oct. 16, 1963, in Man, she was the daughter of the late Billy Joe and Tiny Rose Osborne Flaugher.

Ms. Mullins was a former cook at Hardees in Oceana.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Ray Mullins Jr. of Matheny; a daughter, Misty Mae Mullins of Matheny; her companion of seven years, Clarance Zorcort; a sister, Teresa Dean and her husband, Chester, of Matheny; a brother, Joe Flaugher and his wife, Ann, of Pineville; a niece, Kayelyn Cheyenne Flaugher; her stepmother, Janice Kay Cook of Pineville; three stepsisters, Robin Brooks and her husband, Terry, of Marianna, Margrett Adkins and her husband, Johnny, of Hinton and Melissa Stable and her husband, Darris, of Martinsville, Va.; three stepnieces and two stepnephews; and a host of friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, Cyclone, with the Rev. Bill Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Cyclone. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Querry-Toler Funeral Home, Oceana.
