"The LaFayette Sun" - January 30, 1929:

Aged Beat Nine Farmer Passes Away.

F. A. Clark, aged 79 years, a farmer and prominent citizen of the Beat Nine community, died at his home in that section last Tuesday following an attack of influenza which later developed into pneumonia.
Funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday and interment was made in the family burying plot near Dudleyville. The deceased was born and reared in Tallapoosa County, moving across the line into Chambers, where he lived to rear his family.
He is survived by several children, besides a number of close relatives in that section and other parts of Chambers and Tallapoosa Counties.

March 13, 1929:

Brother Frank A. Clark, a master Mason, and a member of Good Samaritan Lodge No. 104, A.F. & A.M., departed this life on the 22nd day of January 1929. The deceased was born in Dudleyville 79 years ago, the son of Alex and Orrie Clark. He received his master degree in Masonry in this lodge on the 6th day of June 1891, and had long been a consistent and regular attendant upon its meetings. He was much loved, and highly esteemed by all who knew him, and his presence will be greatly missed by those of his brethren who he has left behind.
Be it therefore resolved, by Good Samaritan Lodge No. 104, that we mourn with profound sorrow the passing of this beloved brother, and that we will cherish his memory, as one who was filled with the spirit of brotherhood, and whose presence in the lodge room always brought cheer to those who were around him.
Be it further resolved that a copy of these resolutions be presented to the family of our deceased brother, a copy spread on minute book of lodge and a copy furnished local papers.
