My Great-Great grandmother.
Eliza was the youngest daughter of John Gordon and Mary (Hawdon) Marshall. There were ten children in the family and Eliza was the third daughter.
Married George Daubner (b. 1821) on 25 June 1853 in Girton, Nottinghamshire, England. The family moved to Caistor in Lincolnshire County in 1857. They had six children from 1854-1862 (five daughters, one son). Sadly, the two youngest daughters, Dinah (b. Nov 1861) and Ann (b. Sept 1862), died in childhood (between 1862-1868).
The Daubner family took passage to America (Brookfield, WI) in May/June 1869 on the ship "City of Brookfield" from Liverpool, England.
Tragically, Eliza Daubner experienced the death of her 17-month granddaughter Florence Ryan in Oct 1883 as well as of deaths of two more of her children; daughter Alice Ryan died in Oct 1883 and son George died in July 1903. She and her husband raised their grandson, Frederick Ryan, to adulthood.
Celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in June 1903.
Upon her death at age 82, she was survived by her husband George (but only by 18 days), her daughters Selina Cooper and Anna Malone, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
