Henry Altman, 83, of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany formerly of Frank Street in Schenectady, died Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2002 at the nursing home. Mr. Altman was born in Troy and resided most of his life in Schenectady. He was employed by the General Electric Company in Schenectady for many years and was retired. He was an avid reader and a great conversationalist.
He was the devoted husband to Virginia Moss Altman until her passing in 1997. Mr. Altman was the youngest of nine siblings who have all predeceased him. He was the loving and devoted father of Karin Carlascio of Latham, Lynne Solek of Wilton, Tracy White of Tennessee, and Gary Altman of Albany. He was also survived by eight cherished grandchildren.
Services at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery on Watt Street in Schenectady.
