DECATUR - Gus Harley Giles, 74 of Decatur died 7:05 pm. Tuesday (July 19, 2011) in his residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Lester Barnett Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cancer Care Center. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements. Gus was born August 31, 1936 in Kniefley, KY., son of Fred and Alcy Wringler Giles. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. Gus worked for Goodmar in Mt. Zion for 30 years. He is survived by his sisters, Alice (Bill) Dixon and JoAnn Ellis, son Mark Giles and wife Kim of Hennessey, OK., daughter, Kim (Jerry) Wilson of Macon, IL., grandchildren, Molly, Levi, and Jacob Giles, Clint and wife Deanna Wilson, Cliff and Dawn Lamb Wilson great grandchildren, Lexie Wilson and Hunter Wilson his former wife Nancy Giles and his dog Peaches. The family would like to thank the Pershing Road Steak and Shake, St. John's Hospice and his best friend Bill Morris, and the staff at Tanzyus-Logan for all the support and care
