Nelleva ‘Nell' Blanche Locklin
April 14, 1937 — May 2, 2008
Twain Harte resident Nelleva "Nell" Blanche Locklin died May 2 at her home. She was 71.
Mrs. Locklin was born in Mitchell, S.D., to Charles Ora Dennis and Edna Josephine Dennis. She lived in Twain Harte for 17 years.
She worked as an operating room nurse and reviewed and summarized medical records for medical malpractice cases in the Bay Area.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed entertaining guests and opening up her home for friends, family and neighbors for Thanksgiving, Christmas and anytime someone just cared to drop by.
Her family said she was a great cook and loved passing down these skills to her boys, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
She loved politics, her country, but loved God first.
Mrs. Locklin is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Charles Locklin; sons, Patrick Brian Locklin and his wife, Christina, and Christopher David Locklin; grandchildren, Brooke Anne Locklin and Shawna McKenzie Locklin; siblings, Patricia Riddell, David Dennis and Mary Johnson; nieces and nephews, Bob Riddell, Dennis Riddell, Michael Dennis, Ryan Johnson, Stacey Johnson, Tim and Jim Snyder, and Leslie, Linda and Lisa Dennis.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Dambacher Mountain Memorial Cemetery, followed by a reception at Church of Christ on Tuolumne Road.
Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
