ARMISTEAD - At his late residence, Hopelands, Woodville, on October 15 1925, Frederick Cyril, beloved husband of Jane Stewart Armistead, aged 57 years.
OBITUARY
A highly esteemed resident of the Woodville district, in the person of Mr Frederick Cyril Armistead, passed away yesterday at his residence, Hopeland. The deceased gentleman, who was 57 years of age, was a retired master mariner and had lived in Shanghai for some years before coming to New Zealand. Although he had taken up farming at Hopelands only a little over two years ago, Mr Armistead had by his truly British characteristics and genial disposition made a host of friends and his death will be sincerely mourned. He leaves a widow, two sons and two daughters, on of whom has just returned to Shanghai.
