MILLEDGEVILLE - Patricia Ann "Patty" Neubauer of Milledgeville was taken into the Lord's arms to be with her beloved husband on Sunday, March 25, 2012. She was the strongest, most outspoken woman. She was a loving mom, aunt, sister and grandma. We were all so blessed to have her in our lives for 81 years.
She was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Sterling, the daughter of James and Anna (Etes) Dwyer. She married Robert August Neubauer on Sept. 16, 1950, in Rock Falls. He died Nov. 2, 1987. She had been a cook at various local restaurants. She was a member of Dutchtown Church of the Brethren; had volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America Blackhawk Area Council; volunteered in the hobby building at the Carroll County Fair; and served on the fair board.
Surviving are her five sons, Robert J. (Vicki) Neubauer of Sterling, Darrell C. (Betty) Neubauer of Rock Falls, Warren O. (Twyla) Neubauer of Parker, Colo., Patrick A. (Laurie) Neubauer of Rock Falls and Thomas M. (Michelle) Neubauer of Milledgeville; one sister, Jeanne (Loren) Ekquist of Sterling; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Milledgeville. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville, with the Rev. Rick Kock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Milledgeville.
