She was born March 4, 1893, the daughter of James & Amira Files Johnson. She was married to Bert Churchwell in 1912. He died over 5 years ago.
For many years, Mrs. Churchwell and her family lived near Hurst & Bush, IL, while he was employed with the Missouri Pacific Railroad.
In 1967 they moved to Fairfield following retirement.
Mrs. Churchwell was a 50 year memeber of the Eastern Star and belonged to the Mill Shoals Christian Church.
Surviving her is a son, Barton, and two grandsons & one great-grandchild.
Services were held at the Mill Shoals Christian Church with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
