John Joseph Barron died July 8, 2014, in Gilbert, Ariz., at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late E. Christine (Flint) Barron, he was the loving father of Christopher Barron and wife Sandra of Gilbert, Ariz., and Peter Barron and wife Eileen of Abington, Mass.; loving grandfather of Melissa Corrigan, Erinn Morris, Andrew and Patrick Barron; loving great-grandfather of Noah, Carly, Brooklyn, and Braelyn. John was a First Lt. in the Army Air Force during World War II flying in B17s as a lead bombardier. John later worked for Western Electric and AT&T, retiring after 40 years. He enjoyed wood working, travel, and was an avid Boston sports fan up to the end. Memorial visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
