He was born January 3, 1947 in Lamar, Missouri the son of Lloyd and Grace Gillam Burnside. He was a resident of southwest Missouri his entire life and was graduated from Jasper High School with the class of 1964. Terry served in the Army National Guard.
He married Nikki Craddock on July 15, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at the family farm, rural Oronogo in Jasper County, Missouri.
Terry was a farmer and rancher his entire life and raised Black Angus Cattle.
He was a member of the Missouri Angus Association; American Quarter Horse Association; was a private pilot; an avid fisherman; loved to dance and was a gun collector.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter Kelly Burnside Jones and her husband Steve of Carthage, Missouri; his faithful German Shepherd Dolly; one sister; and two grandsons Nicholas and Nathan Jones of Carthage, Missouri.
Graveside services will be 11 am Thursday at the family farm in Jasper County, Missouri, with the Rev. Phil Alsbaugh, officiating. Burial will be at the family farm. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, KS. Friends may call after 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
