Kearney K. Baker.
Miss Kearney K. Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Baker, died at the home of her parents, near Kendall Friday, Feb. 7, 1913, after a two years illness of tuberculosis. She but recently returned from a second stay in the West for the benefit of her health, but all without good results.
Deceased was born in Shelby county, near Oak Dale, June 15, 1893. She was converted in a meeting at Oak Dale Methodist church conducted by Revs. Kimbell and Blackburn in August 1911 and from that time lived a beautiful Christian life. She leaves the father and mother, one brother, Gale, of Oak Dale neighborhood, and two sisters, Miss Lucy, at home and Mrs. T. C. Parker, of the Kendall vicinity.
The funeral took place at Oak Dale Methodist church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Triplett, of Hunnewell. A very large crowd was present to pay a last tribute to the deceased and to express deep sympathy to the parents, who have been bereaved four times during the last six months, having lost three children and one grandchild during that time.
