Mooresville, Dec. 13. -
Hyatt Brawley, 15-year-old high school lad, was almost instantly killed about noon Saturday while working at a wood saw at the home of Luther Bradford, one mile east of this city.
The youth was engaged to assist with the sawing, and had cranked up the engine. The machine was going at a fast rate when a piece of timber was knocked off and struck the boy over the heart. He was dead before medical aid could reach him.
Hyatt was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Avery Brawley and was noted for his high rank in school. Besides his parents there are two brothers, Wakefield and Price Brawley.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Vanderburg Methodist church by Rev. G.L. Wilkinson.
