NEMOURS Frank McKinney Lockhart, 65, of Nemours and formerly of Horsecreek near Iaeger, died at his home Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, following a short illness.
Born July 30, 1933, at Iaeger, he was the son of the late William R. Lockhart and Ethel Mae Steele. He was a disabled miner and veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was affiliated with the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Clarence; and one sister, Anna Mae Lefler.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Kennedy Lockhart of the home; four daughters, Kathy Cook of Bluewell, Karen Rister of Flatwoods, Va., Peggy Bates and Julia Gordon, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Jim Lockhart of Princeton; one brother, Robert E. Lockhart of Bramwell; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Horsecreek Church of the Living God near Iaeger with the Revs. Granville Mullins and Ronald Felts officiating. Burial will follow at the Andy Kennedy Cemetery on Horsecreek near Iaeger.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Friends may call Saturday, Aug. 29, at the church of the Living God at Horsecreek near Iaeger after 5 p.m.
Fanning Funeral Home of Iaeger is in charge of arrangements.
