T. Pronk was born on August 6, 1936 in rural Edgerton, MN, one of 11 children born to Lue and Wilhelmina (Vos) Pronk. He was baptized at the First Christian Reformed Church, and graduated from Edgerton High School in 1954. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Porter American Legion, the Porter Fire Department, the Porter City Council, and the Regional Development Commission. Some of his enjoyments in life included reading, hunting, camping, collecting, golfing, giving checkmarks, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Barb (Helleksen); his children Wanda (Mark) Paluch of Ivanhoe, LeAnne (Paul) Syring of Granite Falls, Karla (Charles) Farrell of Chicago, IL, and Wesley (Jody) Pronk of Marshall; his grandchildren: Andrew (Jessie), David (Melissa), Katrina and Kristie Syring, Claire, Joshua, Brandon, Samantha and Daniel Paluch, and Elizabeth Farrell; his foster grandchildren: Kendra Rasmussen, and Aaron and Jarred Nelson; and one great-grandchild, Tyler Syring. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Nick (Beulah) Pronk of Jackson, Joan DeWyer of Ohio, Elsie Mihlenbeck of Minnetonka, Bud (Frances) Pronk of McAllen, TX, Louis Pronk of McAllen, TX, Esther VanDeSteeg of Leesburg, FL, Alice (Gentius) Shriver of Ruthton, and Leone (Jerry) Goding of Leesburg, FL; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Fannie Abbink and Louise Achterhoff.
